Resources
Required source backbone, used selectively
- NCSC: top tips for staying secure online: use the account, authentication and update sections for one private maintenance plan.
- NCSC: backing up your data: consult the restore and storage-method sections when defining your failure boundary.
- Mozilla: connection identity: distinguish encrypted connection state from judging a site's claims.
Optional depth
- CS50's Introduction to Cybersecurity: selected account/data protection teaching after the local exercises. Full-course completion is extra work, not an entry requirement.
- CS50 Understanding Technology archive: hardware mental models only. Officially retired on June 30, 2024; do not present it as a current certification or current product-security guide.
No new book purchase is required. Full-book reading is not required. Existing Missing Semester and Pro Git routes retain their own scope in Modules 2–3. Sources inspected 2026-10-27; local examples are original.
