Guided Lab
Lab: explain, ask, review and revise
Use one existing Launchpad artifact so you are not building another project. A peer is useful but not required for the first attempt. Never label a solo or AI-generated simulation as an independent human review.
- Name an audience and a question the explanation should answer. Produce 150–250 words, a short audio explanation or an equivalent diagram with explanation. Include a concrete example and one condition or limitation.
- Draft a help request about a real uncertainty. Include enough context, predicted/observed behavior or conflicting interpretations, your attempts, and one answerable question. Remove identifying information and secrets. Sending it is optional.
- Ask a consenting peer to explain a changed case, or conduct a clearly labeled solo role-play after a delay. Record the response actually received, including uncertainty; do not invent agreement.
- Review the artifact against correctness, clarity and audience fit. Write one observation, its consequence for the audience and an actionable suggestion.
- Accept, adapt or decline the feedback with a reason. Preserve the original and revised artifact and the small check used to assess the revision.
- Draft a three-line study-pair agreement: roles, meeting/response expectation and fallback if one person is unavailable. No peer is required to sign it for this exercise.
Submit the explanation, help request, response/review, revision and agreement. Solo completion demonstrates preparation and self-review, not demonstrated teamwork with another person. Record that limitation for later team work.
