What This Concept Is

Independent review means another person examines the work and can disagree. Closure requires a repair or reasoned disposition plus the reviewer’s ability to inspect the result.

Why It Matters Here

A friendly testimonial does not substitute for the original external review, and an AI role-play does not count as the required person.

Concrete Example

A reviewer finds that the stated recovery time excludes database restore. Mark the finding blocking, rerun the full procedure, revise the claim and provide evidence. If the target is missed, report it honestly and repair or reduce the claimed operating scope. Do not mark the finding closed merely because the report wording changed.

Common Confusion / Misconception

Review independence is weakened when the author supplies all conclusions and the reviewer only approves. Lack of reviewer availability leaves a pending gate, not permission to invent feedback.

How To Use It

Ask for one architecture challenge, one reproduction attempt and one evidence challenge. Record scope, date, consent, findings, priority, owner and closure evidence. Keep private feedback out of public artifacts unless consented.

Check Yourself

Can the reviewer reproduce a key claim? Which finding blocks graduation? What did you change because of dissent?
