Competencies, Evidence, and Remediation
The quiz contains ten independent prompts; the assessment key supplies reasoning and repair criteria.
| Gate | Competency | Practice | Assessment |
|---|---|---|---|
| C01 | Specify a problem | P01, P17–P18 | A01 |
| C02 | Choose and revise a plan | P02, P19 | A02 |
| C03 | Prove loop behavior | P03, P12–P13 | A03 |
| C04 | Reverse legal transitions | P05 | A04 |
| C05 | Bound a generalisation | P04, P06–P08 | A05 |
| C06 | Use invariants honestly | P09 | A06 |
| C07 | Construct and justify a DP witness | P10–P11, P14 | A07 |
| C08 | Localise and reduce a failure | P15–P16 | A08 |
| C09 | Transfer under changed assumptions | P20 | A09 |
| C10 | Make an evidence-based handoff | P19 and project | A10 |
Score each gate 0–3: 0 absent/invalid; 1 partial or materially prompted; 2 independently correct with assumptions and verification; 3 also defends a changed case and limitations. Every gate needs at least 2. Record lab checks, project defense and assistance separately; code passing alone is insufficient. There is no compensating average.
For a weak gate, revisit its practice task, write a repaired argument, then attempt a fresh variant. After 7–14 days, recheck the weakest gate and one randomly selected gate on changed inputs without solutions. If no reviewer is available, mark the result self-assessed; independent review remains pending.
