Prerequisite Diagnostic

Use already-taught contracts, tests and Git skills, not knowledge of this module's review process.

  1. A function receives a list of dictionaries and returns one dictionary. Give two ways callers can accidentally mutate its internal state and an observation that distinguishes them.
  2. A patch changes an error result into an exception. Explain why identical successful outputs do not establish compatibility.
  3. A test passes after a repair. Explain how restoring the original defect can check whether the test actually detects it.
  4. A commit contains a behavior fix and a rename. Describe a local way to inspect or separate them without rewriting a shared branch.
  5. A screenshot looks tidy. Identify what it cannot establish about completing a task by keyboard or understanding an error.

For each record independent / helped / repair. Review Module 1 ownership/contracts, Module 2 characterization/regression and Launchpad Git where needed; inspect actual prior evidence rather than repeat everything. Item 5 is an uncertainty check, not a demand to know WCAG before the HCI lessons. Use calibration after an attempt.
