Instructor Guide and Review Status
This is an authored candidate with executable local models. Independent technical, assessment and accessibility review and learner pilots remain pending. Do not infer a professional percentile, whole-semester validation or production delivery guarantees from content volume or passing finite checks.
Review procedure
Run the extracted reference kit, then confirm the starter fails intentionally. Check source contracts against every test group. Review manual Template Method, Mediator, Interpreter and composition artifacts separately. Ask the learner to predict an unseen failure trace before running it and compare a simpler design. Grade with C01–C10 and BD1–BD6; no aggregate score overrides a critical missing competency.
Calibrate reviewers with two contrasting submissions: correct output with unclear ownership versus a correct trace/contract with a minor syntactic mistake. Record where scorers disagree and why. Review alternative correct representations fairly. Ensure code fences/tables work with keyboard and screen-reader navigation, downloads are reachable, and diagrams have equivalent prose or tables.
Pilot record to collect
Record prerequisite repairs, actual focused time by work category, setup failures, ambiguous wording, first-attempt error classes, assistance, gate scores, reviewer disagreement and 7–14 day transfer results. Use these records to revise the 110–161-hour estimate and assessment. Do not fill this table with invented learners.

Maintenance
The lab ZIP is built by scripts/package-behavioral-patterns-lab.py and freshly extracted/checked by scripts/verify-behavioral-patterns-lab.py. Use the teaching-unit generator without rebuilding the entire book corpus. Validate content and links, build Foundations/Portal, and verify actual routes and archive bytes. Keep source consultation narrower than a claim of full-library review.
Merged runtime comparison
The module now contains 23 concept lessons: the 19 core lessons plus R1–R4. Keep seven core lab groups and the additional EventBus/Editor package. Require C01–C10 and BD1–BD6, with separate keys and explicit contract scopes. The revised combined workload is 110–161 hours; the comparison adds 10–16 hours after reuse of common instruction and assessment evidence. Review/pilot status stays pending.
