Module 5: Architecture Decisions & Reviews: Guided Labs
Lab 1: ADR From Live Evidence
Select an unresolved project decision. Record context, forces, at least three viable options, decision, consequences, status, and review date. Attach measurements or a spike; avoid retrospective fiction.
Lab 2: Review Packet
Prepare goals, quality scenarios, views, data ownership, trust boundaries, failure modes, ADRs, and open risks. Send it early enough for reviewers to inspect rather than react in the meeting.
Lab 3: Facilitate a Risk-Driven Review
Time-box framing, then review the highest-impact uncertainties. For every finding capture claim, evidence needed, severity, owner, deadline, and closure rule. Separate blocking risks from preferences.
Lab 4: Fitness Function
Automate one architectural constraint in CI or monitoring. Deliberately violate it to prove detection, then document false positives, blind spots, ownership, and response.
Evidence: ADR set, review packet, findings register with closure evidence, and executable fitness function.
