Module 4: Operational Readiness & Security Review: Guided Labs

Lab 1: Operational Baseline​

Define SLIs/SLO, dashboard, alert, ownership, and runbook for the critical user path. Verify telemetry correlation end to end.

Lab 2: Threat and Access Review​

Map trust boundaries, apply STRIDE, inspect dependencies/secrets/roles, reduce privilege, and test selected controls.

Lab 3: Failure Game Day​

Inject bad deploy or dependency outage, detect, triage, mitigate, communicate, recover, and revise the runbook.

Lab 4: Backup Restore​

Perform a timed isolated restore against RPO/RTO and validate data/application behavior.

Evidence: operations packet, threat model, control tests, incident timeline, review actions, and restore report.

Required evidence extension​

Complete Capstone restore and readiness evidence and its assessment. The 22–34-hour package is integrated with the original labs; use the semester workload contract for totals.
