Competencies, Evidence, and Remediation

Use the independent quiz, then its separate key. Score each competency: 0 absent/invalid; 1 partial or materially prompted; 2 independently correct with assumptions, observation and limitation; 3 also defends a changed case and a plausible alternative. Every gate requires at least 2; no average hides a missing state contract or unsupported design claim.

Passing code is required for the four labs but cannot grade architecture by itself. Review the project contract, decision note and changed-case defense separately. Accept a well-supported decision not to refactor. Do not require artificial violations, line-count reductions, class counts or deletion of useful comments.

For a weak gate, repair the named P task and use a fresh case. After 7–14 days, recheck the weakest gate and another chosen gate without the key. Record assistance and distinguish self-assessment from review by another person. Module 2 progression requires demonstrated core contracts; optional reading is not a substitute.

Construction and semantics continuation

Complete the construction clinic after cluster 6. Its DS1–DS4 evidence is required alongside existing C01–C10 gates; original labs remain. The 8–12 additional hours are explicitly included in the updated module/semester allocation.
